VMware announces vCloud Integration Manager for service providers

VMware announced a new software tool named vCloud Integration Manager  aimed at service providers. The tool enables service providers to provision vCloud Director, vSphere and vShield more quickly then the current method of deploying which is a manual process. By using an automated provisioning of public clouds the time to revenue  (the time between receiving an order for service and fulfilling it, and therefore being able to bill for service) is decreased.
The product will be delivered in the first quarter of 2012 and will be priced on a usage-based subscription model familiar to vCloud Service Providers.

vCloud Integration Manager will have API calls such that Customer Relation Management (CRM) and customer portals can be used to record orders for new custumers and send the provisioning task via API to vCloud Integration Manager. This will initiate the provisioning for vCloud Director and other VMware solutions.
Service Providers will have the opportunity to delegate provisioning tasks to their resellers so that an order can efficiently be processed without phonecalls, emails etc.
