Is VMware vSphere Client soon end of life?

From a reliable source I understand the VMware vSphere Client will be replaced by a browser GUI built on Abobe Flex. Flex is a highly productive, free, open source framework for building expressive web applications that deploy consistently on all major browsers, desktops, and operating systems by leveraging the Adobe  Flash Player and Adobe AIR runtimes. This means all features of the current vSphere client connected to vCenter Server or an ESX(i) host  will be available from any browser! So no more downloading the client on a pc, laptop or soon iPad. Just use a browser to manage the virtual infrastructure.

Flex is based on flash … so no iPad 😦
I think it might take some time before all functionality is transferred to a browser based gui …
